My eyes are full of tears reading your last two posts. It is amazing how reading your posts brings back our adventure in Guatemala. We had a wonderful adoption trip. Have fun! Along with the clothes advice....take more than 3 outfits for the plane! I will be thinking of you and your husband next Tuesday.
This is it Mom!

Posted by: gloria pickering at February 14, 2007 06:02 AMIm so happy for you. Thats great. We are in PGN now but Im not sure of the exact date we went in. How long did it take for you to get out of PGN and get your PINK? The waiting is the worst.
Posted by: Victoria at February 14, 2007 09:35 PMMeredith,
I am so happy for you. My 3 year old little Guatemalan princess has been reading along with me your story and she always looks forward to the next installment. Now she is filled with joy because you got your pink on her "happy happy" (her birthday). Have a wonderful trip mommy.

Posted by: Kelley at February 20, 2007 01:12 AMI have not been on this website in quite some time! We picked up our daughter in December and life has been busy.
We have two biologic children with blonde hair and blue eyes and milk white skin...so the questions are daily. I am open and honest with almost everyone as I am stopped daily...people gasp and tell us how beautiful our daughter is.
Thanks for the info on the TB exposure. They are now giving BCG shots in Guatemala at birth. We are in the second month of the INH therapy. It was shocking but she will be fine.
I can not wait to read your next blog on picking up your daughter. All four of us went the week before Christmas and found Guatemala to be warm, friendly and full of kind people.
God Bless!
Meredith,
I just started reading your blogs. I am an adoptee (domestic) who just adopted our little girl Ava from Guatemala. Your feelings on adoption growing up were a lot like mine (sperm/egg thing hits home!).
I appreciate your blog and I am so happy you are going to go get your little girl. Ava has brought more joy to our lives than we ever imagined - I know you will feel the same.
