Not much time to write, but we did receive our "pink slip" and have our Embassy appointment set for July 2nd. Now the chaos begins in booking flights, finding hotels, etc.....

July 1. They expect 3000 people to descend on Guatemala City looking for hotel rooms. We're waiting for our pink slip and appointment any day now and we were "tipped off" by the front desk @ the Westin during our last visit at the end of May. Good Luck...we're happy for you!

Congratulations, Troy!!! We are pink too and got less than a week's notice - we are flying out this weekend for a Monday embassy appointment. So I definitely understand what you mean about chaos!!

Congrats, Troy! And...we'll see you there! Our appt. is the same day for 715a. No luck yet finding places to stay, flights, etc. My husband says we will be the ones in the tent by the Embassy!

Any ideas why 2 people submitted for pink on same day, each with all papers in order, get very different (ie quick and very delayed) pink slips? No one seems to be able to answer.
