Halloween Flier

There have been some great ideas on how to get the word out this Halloween. I thought I would share my plan. I will be escorting my little girl during her first trick or treat. So, while she gathers treats...I will hand out a flyer at each door. Luckily, I had a little help creating the flyer. The flyer encourages the reader to visit our site under guatadopt.com/visitor which is a brief description of the situation. You can use this one, or create your own.

HALLOWEEN FLYER For best results, you may want to download it and print it using Power Point.

If you cannot view it in Power Point, here is an image. Again, you may have better luck saving this on your computer and using a tool other than a web browser to print it.

I am sure that I could have done a better job editing, but time is ticking....

Kelly,
Quite possibly the most thorough informational effort I've seen - by far.
Well done! I will be following your lead on this one.
Thank you for your work here and through your extended personal efforts to get the TRUTH out there.
With much gratitude,
Denise

Thank you Kelly for the flyers. I am printing them now.

Kelly, thanks for preparing these. Only one thing
I might quibble with is, "In reality, this is not
so." Of course, it *is* so that UNICEF does a lot
of good work for the world's children. If you
have time to revise this, perhaps you can replace
that sentence with something like "Unfortunately,
not all of its activities best serve the interests
of the world's children." I want to get this
information out there, but I don't want to come
off as some fringe UNICEF-basher (or UN-basher).

(If you can't make any change in time for
Halloween, I'll just print the flyer as is and
white out (and possibly write over) that
sentence.)

If you have powerpoint, it is pretty easy to adjust the wording to your liking. I would just appreciate if everyone was cautious about the wording as it DOES point to this site!

As for being a UNICEF basher....I don't care what they think, as UNICEF has bashed *ME* and my family with numerous lies. I, on the other hand, stick to the facts.

Well, unfortunately I wasn't able to get time to print out the flyers, but I did say no to a bunch of little kids and their UNICEF boxes. I know the local elementary school was promoting them because I saw posters up everywhere and sure enough, nearly every little trick-or-treater had one. It was so hard for me to say no to all of them because of course they don't understand why but in a few cases I did talk to their parents and let them know my reasoning. It made it easier to do so with my cute little Guatemalan one-yr-old in my arms (dressed as boy wonder Robin). I hope that somehow bit by bit the word can spread about this organization and its adoption policies.... Did anyone else have luck with the flyer or have other experiences to share regarding the UNICEF boxes Friday night?

We passed them out to every adult that came by. I thought it was very interesting because at first everyone assumed it was a prayer or something. But I noticed EVERYONE reading it as they walked away, and none ended up throw on the street. I only had one UNICEF box come by, and I politely told the girl I don't support them and gave her the flier to show why....
