Calendar Delays

The bad news is that the calendar is NOT ready yet. The good news is that there were so many wonderful pictures, we will have two calendars. I am re-aiming my goal to November 10th. At that time, I will post a list of first names and which calendar they are featured. You will also be able to preview EACH page.

To AOL users - I have been having problems responding to questions. We recently changed IP addresses and I believe it was previously used for spamming and therefore, blocked by AOL. does NOT spam. I have informed my hosting company and hopefully they will resolve the issue with AOL.

Advertisements/Affiliates - Since I have had a few people VERY kindly offer to donate to the maintenance of this page (which is independent of ANY agency or organization), I thought I should mention the few means I do employ to raise funds for this site. You might have noticed the advertisements on the bottom right of this page. Yes, does get a very small referral fee from when someone purchases through one of the links. I use the funds to pay the hosting fee and software....which to date have been soley paid by me, myself and I. Anytime you use a link or buy a Guatadopt Store item, you ARE donating to the site! Moreover, your notes of appreciation have kept this site alive....and for that, I am VERY grateful!!!!!

Here are some of my affiliates and shops:

Baby Creepers, Bibs, Toddler Shirts, etc.
Long Sleeved Ts and Sweatshirts
Mugs and Steel Travel Mugs
Daycare bags, clocks, hats, tileboxes, mousepads
Calendar, Cards, Stickers

I realize this has become more work for you, Kelly, and want to thank you for making that extra work positive by adding a 2nd calendar. This will be great for holiday gifts for families as we can have one of each at home & work! Also will be great to share with our children's grandparents, aunts, uncles, adoption referral people, etc. Will they still be ready by December to mail as gifts?

Thanks again for all of your hard work - looking forward to seeing the calendars and reading the updates on your site.

The calendar sounds wonderful, and isn't it nice to have things like calendar delays as the newest update rather than more dire news from Guatemala:)

Does this mean that anytime we buy something from amazon or b/n by clicking on the link from guatadopt that you get $? I buy stuff from there all the time! I had no idea . . .

Yes, the calendars should be ready to purchase in mid November...that is the goal since I know everyone is hoping to have theirs before Christmas.

Yes, when you purchase something THROUGH one of the links here or anywhere on my site, Guatadopt DOES get a small commission (but it does not affect the price on the purchase).

T-shirts, Mugs etc....These designs are Guatadopts and therefore, there is a minimal markup on their purchase.

I will add that if you have a group that wants to use one of the designs (or tweak a design slightly) and adding the group's can contact me and I can tweak them for you and add a link.

Really appreciate your being so involved and keeping us hopeful and aware. I have adopted two babies from Guatemala and have helped other families for the past 8 years do their adoptions from there. I'm not an agency, the adoptions are private through my lawyer. We have five babies in the process now. It's a work I love and know I'm suppose to do to show my thanks for getting my daughters. (now 10 and 7 yrs)
QUESTION- Can I get a link to your page to sell my adoption jewlery? I make some great stuff and would love to share the income to keep this site going. Let me know.

Kelly, Thank you so much for all your hard work to keep this web site open and all the info you provide. It has truly been a God-send during this long journey.

Kelly, thanks for clarifying the links & income for the web site. I would encourage Judy or others involved w/ adoption specific items to work with you to add to the income! I really wanted stud earrings shaped in the adoption triad/triangle in my daughters' birthstone and couldn't find anything so ended up going to an online jeweler & having them custom design/make them for me. ( They were so accomodating and their prices were quite affordable! I will contact them to see if they would like to affiliate w/!

You definitely are the best!!!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed all these updates. I find myself disappointed when there isn't a current update, but then on the other hand, I think that is a good thing--no bad news from Guatemala. We are in the paper stage for our second daughter, so having this site has been wonderful for me. I definitely want to keep up with what is going on in Guatemala and your site is the only one that won't beat around the bush. And as far as all the other little tidbits you give in between is great as well, especially the calendar. We are so excited for it. I can only imagine the work you've put into this, but just think of how happy all those people out there will be seeing there children in a calendar. You are very special. Keep the good times rolling. You do a great job at it. Thank you Kelly and to all your little helpers!!

THANK YOU for all your hard work!

Have you thought about setting up a PayPal or Amazon account(s) for donations? I have seen this on other web sites, especially blogs and very successful. Also, what about Google Ads?
