Focus on Adoption Needs Volunteers

Focus on Adoption is in need of a handful of volunteers. We can use people who are good at doing research on the internet and have some time to spare. Also, a web designer and possibly webmaster would be of great help. If you'd like to help, please e-mail me at kevin@guatadopt.com.

Thanks in advance.

I am just about ready to pick up my child and I will most likely be busier than normal but I want more info and would like to help. I have web maintenance and development experience through my work and want to give back to this site. I am not a web designer or a programmer but I do know basic html and was on the team to build my company's site. Let me know more please, if you think I would be of use. I also have an interest in this field and would like to learn.

I know this probably isn't the best place to post this info., but I wanted to let others know what the PGN Director is up to now. My child is almost a year old. Because I am a single mother, the Director rejected my case asking for proof that I would have male role models in my son's life. My home study & a psychological report already positively addressed that issue, but he wants additional paperwork from my agency. Has anyone else experienced this? If the PGN is beginning to reject single cases then are they not in violation of current Guatemala laws that do not forbid singles from adopting? What's it going to take to stop this abuse of power? Another Amparo?

Could someone please help me. We brought home our daughter on a ir3 visa in December. We have started the readoption process required by our state, but I was told I could do the INS paperwork now, but what do I do? Email me privately with any info will be appreciated. Thaks Terri
