Chapter 8 - Mi'ja

This week's chapter is the actual story of our adoption. It is quite long and so to spare everyone's eyes, I converted it to a PDF. I do ask that no one print or forward it to the masses.

As I went through it yesterday and did some editting, reliving the experience and memories brought to tears to my eyes. I hope you enjoy it as well....

Thanks for putting this out there for us to read, Kevin! I hope you have plans to keep going, with more wisdom gleaned from your experience, and tell us the story of #2 as well. More!!

Every week I've been looking forward to new chapters in your book, but this one was very special. Maybe it is where I am in the process - but so much of what you say rings so true. Suddenly feelings I've had that I thought were mine alone, I realize are shared by so many others. Thank you very much for sharing your story. It offers a lot of hope at just the moment I needed it.

Kevin,
What a wonderfully touching story. You have quite a way of spinning a yarn. I wish we had gotten more time with Emi's foster family. We continue to send pictures and they send letters from time to time. One day we plan to take her to Guatemala and let her see all of the great people who touched her life before we got her. Like your Isabel, she is just the most perfect child for us and we are so grateful to the kind foster moms (she had two) that cared deeply for her until we were able to bring her home. Again, thanks for sharing such a wonderful story!
