2008 Guatadopt Calendar Preordering is active and going. Preorders will be accepted through Nov 9th. But before you click on the link, we need to explain the site you will be taken to. So click on more for that.
Oct 30 - Preview is here! Just click on more and scroll down...
About six months ago, Kelly and I were pondering how we could find a way to (a) provide direct aid to children in need in Guatemala (b) develop a funding stream to allow us (or one of us) to be able to work full time on advocacy issues. Our schedules have been absolutely insane at times when the costs of Guatadopt maintenance have gone up and there is a greater need for assistance. So out of this we hatched the idea for Do Good, LLC.
Do Good LLC is a company developed by Kelly and I that will sell various "Do Good Stuff". All products are ethically produced and most importantly, proceeds from all sales will go feed children in Guatemala. For example, every shirt we sell will feed a child for a month.
This year's calendar sales are running through Do Good LLC. As such, the preordering is being done through the in-development Do Good store site.
Getting this up and running has proven more difficult that we had intended. So for the time being, THE ONLY THING YOU CAN ORDER ARE CALENDARS!!! We hope to have the whole store functioning very soon and will let you know when we do.
Click here to go to the Calendar pre-order page. Feel free to look through the rest of the site, but please don't attempt to order anything other than calendars.

I looked around the site and the stuff looks great! I can't wait until the whole thing is up and running!

This is awesome! We will order our calendars, but please post when the rest of the site is up. I think this will be a great place for some serious holiday shopping for our family!

Posted by: Lisa Krodinger at October 19, 2007 08:02 PMKevin, from it's GREAT to finally read the announcement of Do Good LLC.
And even though the shirts, etc. aren't quite yet available, you and your family look terrific modeling them (especially the kids!).
Please let me know (secretly, before anyone else --- after all, this is ALL ABOUT ME!!!) so that I can (be the first to) order a shirt when they are available. What a great idea!

Just wondering if their is a preview of the calender so we can know what it will look like? I went ahead and ordered but am anxious to see it.Thanks for all the hard work.
Posted by: Carrie at October 20, 2007 05:45 PMWhat a great idea!! I will definitely order more when the rest of the site is up.
Is there going to be a preview of the calander? I know I will order atleast 2-3, but I may order more depending on where Kate is in it.
Thanks for all your hard work!!
Lisa
Great Idea, I have been wondering how I myself can help the children of Guatemala, being a mom of a guatemalan baby, I have seen first hand the country and they need the help. I am so excited, thanks for all you work!!
Posted by: sarah at October 21, 2007 10:33 AMCongrats on Do Good - that is so exciting! I hope that it is majorly sucessful so that both of you can work full time in advocacy!
When will the calendar preview be ready?
Thanks!
Posted by: Krystal at October 22, 2007 02:35 PMThe new website is great. I will order shirts when we can. Also the new front page looks great!! You all do a wonderful job. I wish there were more helpful and caring people like you around.
Posted by: Jennifer at October 23, 2007 06:19 PMI ordered my 5 pack of calenders. My family loves the ones I gave last year. I hope next year I can submit pictures of my son.
Posted by: Anthony at October 24, 2007 08:48 AMexcellent idea!!! Great work. I am so excited to order the GuatAdopt calendar but it states first I need to have it validated before I can order and the site emails you the validation but it will not send the link to my email. I have tried several times and still cannot get my account activated. Any ideas how to get this to work?
Posted by: Tina at October 24, 2007 12:49 PMKelly, the calendar looks fabulous, I ordered ours and can't wait to get it. I dreamed of putting our homecoming date on the 2007 Guatadopt calendar and now I'm praying to put it on the 2008 calendar! Better yet, I can't wait to have them home and get the pictures to you for the 2009 calendar.
Posted by: Melissa at October 24, 2007 07:27 PMIs UPS shipping really almost $7 for a single calendar?! Am I doing something wrong? Seems a bit steep for a single <1 lb item. (also almost a third of the cost of the item). USPS would usually be a couple of dollars. Can you suggest something else?
Thanks!
LaClaire
You know I think the shipping is accurate! Because calendars are kind of an odd shape, which adds more to shipping costs. I doubt the USPS would be much cheaper! Can't wait to see the whole calendar preview!
Posted by: ana at October 26, 2007 09:47 PMI cannot find the calendar preview. Can someone tell me how to view it?
Thanks,
Janet
Congrats guys! I'll be ordering stuff for sure!
Here's to doing some good...

Aww, the calendar looks great, just wished that one of the better of the three pictures was picked! Y'all picked the worst one! lol. It doesn't matter though, we love our calendar from last year, and I ordered two for this year. I guess it will give me incentive for better picture taking for next years calendar!!
Posted by: Amy at October 30, 2007 11:58 PMSeeing all those happy faces gives me hope that someday - hopefully very soon - my daughter will be home and I will get to see her beautiful smile everyday. Congratulations to all of those who have brought their children home and for celebrating the diversity of your families!
Wow, the calendar preview looks terrific! What beautiful children! Thanks so much for all of the hard work -- and for making my holiday shopping a bit easier this year!
Posted by: Dawn at October 31, 2007 06:10 AMThe calendar looks great as usual! Thank you SO much for blessing us with such a beautiful celebration of all our precious babies. Your hard work is very appreciated!

Thanks for all you do.

The little girl on the lower right corner of the calendar's cover looks eerily like my daughter. Is it possible that they are related?
Kevin, could you give the family my contact information?
Posted by: kerri bogda at October 31, 2007 10:06 AMThe calendar is beautiful as always! I'll get my order in later today!
Question: Were you able to get most of the children in? If I do not see any of my photos, could one of them possibly be on the back cover or inside the front cover or something like that?
Thanks again for all of your hard work to make such a beautiful celebration of these children to grace my wall each year! Everyone who comes into my kitchen spends time looking at it!
