I know we are all on edge anticipating getting back into PGN. I think we all need to view this new form as progress, because at least we are seeing and hearing something. Yesterday, I was very down when all the things were posted. I know when I accepted my referral on October 4th, my husband and I agreed to step out on faith! WE can't forget our faith. God is bigger than all of the governmental mess. He chose our children for US! He will see them home. Sometimes, I think we'd all be better off if we didn't have the internet where we can do all this research, as we truly need to TRUST! Our babies will get home in God's timing. I don't understand what lesson He is trying to teach me, but I'm sure there is one! Cheri

Does any one have the Us Embassy phone number? I tried to call the number that I found on the web (502-2326-4405) but I am not sure if it is the correct one. We are waiting for authorization for 1st DNA testing. Our agency told us we are still within the 8 weeks time frame, but it seems to me it is taking too long.

Franca, what "8 wk time frame" are you referring to?? Authorization to do the first DNA test is issued the day that your case is filed at the Embassy. Ask your agency what the hold-up is with filing. Lisa

My Spanish isn't that good, but this form doesn't seem to be overly complicated. I hope this isn't a stupid question, but does this new form mean the attorneys have to go back out and get handprints/footprints all over again? It's just such a huge waste of time. Oh well, I am thankful that at least there is a Central Authority and they are doing something. Next Wednesday should be interesting.

Does anyone know if they are registering all cases or just the cases that have been in PGN? My agency said having POA might not be enough to be grandfathered in. Has anyone heard this?

Releasing files THIS wednesday? Like tomorrow!?!? That would be SO Great!!!! Have we heard anything about how the new forms come into play? If they just published them yesterday are there people that have acutally already filled them out and turned them in so that they can be released on Wednesday? Or are they going to accept the previous forms if they were already completed and registered? Any news on this?

I also would like to say thanks for all your helpful info. Even though you may not tell me what I want to hear - you tell me what I need to hear. As I pursue not just getting one child but two, who are each in differnt stages, I seem never to take one foot forward w/out several back. True information from a reliable source is worth its weight in gold. I need to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. As my adoption agency has completely fallen apart around us, this site is the only place I can rely on for the truth. So, wherever my steps lead, I will not be in the dark because of everyone here

Just talked to my atty and she reported that she will go back tomorrow. CA said they were behind.

I hope someone else can post a good report that they saw some movement today.
