FTGA Mother's Day Giving Back Program

As you might know, Cincinnati Friends Through Guatemalan Adoption presents families with monthly giving back opportunities. April's Giving Back Project will be an early Mother's Day focus for the women of San Miguel Duenas, Guatemala suporting Open Windows Foundation - www.openwindowsfoundation.org. We thought this might be of interest to families with a direct link to moms in Guatemala.

Open Windows Foundation is located in San Miguel Duenas and serves several hundred families in the small agricultural town where the monthly family income is about $80. Open Windows provides tutoring, after school activities, and a lending library, and computer classes to children and adults alike. As we prepare to celebrate Mother's Day, let's also reach out to a mother in San Duenas working so hard to change their children's lives. For every $25 donation we collect, a mom in San Miguel Duenas will receive a basket of groceries for Mother's Day. That is equal to almost 1/3 of their monthly family income! Simply decide how many moms you want to honor and then send a check for that many moms times $25. No amount is too small or too large. Open Windows will take care of the rest and send us photos to share after the distribution of goods.
