A Nice Story - Congrats Donald Yager!

Anyone that has run into any complication in an adoption knows how hard it is to find people who will help and not just blow you off. Sadly, this is the worst when dealing with the government. He's a nice story about a great guy at USCIS who I can say from my interactions with him is the excpetion to the rule. It's great to see him recognized in this story and I'm ecstatic he received the award in DC!

We personally dealt with Mr. Yager because of an error on our daughter's COC. He truly deserves this. He is personable, friendly and compassionate. And we got our COC in a matter of days.

Congratulations to Don! He is just wonderful--was really helpful to us, too. It's so nice when someone who does his job so well gets the recogition he deserves.

I just dealt with Don at the end of November because we still had not gotten our daughter's COC after over 6 weeks. He responded to my e-mails immediately and acknowledged that we should have received the COC and told me he would look into it. The very day I e-mailed him he e-mailed me back and said we should have it very shortly. We got it at the end of that week. After all of the snafus we encountered in our adoption it was a relief to have someone help us so quickly and efficiently. I am glad he was recognized for his excellent service.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Don and was overwhelmed with the generosity of his time and the amount of knowledge that he shared. He took the time to explain what I needed to do and the steps to look forward to. He never once let on like he didn't have the time to talk to me and I know he must be busy. Congrats Don! You're awesome!

I also had the opportunity to work with Don - my Son's CoC had not arrived after 8 months! Someone gave me Don's name, and he emailed me back within a few hours! I got my Coc about 2 weeks after that. HE so deserves this award, plus much more! I was refreshing to get the chance to work with someone that cared..
