The CNA has issued a statement, once again reiturating that they want to know who is still in process. I know that seems crazy, but believe me that there very likely are still PAPs in the US with a case that CNA may not be aware of.
CNA is obviously serious about this, issuing the statement in English. I assume they'd like to be conacted via the contact form on the site.
You can find the announcement here: http://www.cna.gob.gt/index.html
Posted by Kevin at October 12, 2009 11:27 AMThis is so unbelievable to me that they don't know every case in process - it's just more and more delays. These people should all rot in hell for what they are doing to all the waiting families here in the U.S. Thankfully I have my son almost 2 years now and thank God I was never caught up in this corrupt and illegal mess.
Posted by: Lisa at October 12, 2009 03:09 PMI imagine we all can remember that the new law required that cases in process be registered at the CNA in order to grandfathered. Many cases were actually registered twice because they disputed the people named as CNA representatives and changed midstream. There was a whole process developed for those who registered the first time, but not the second in order to keep those cases in process. Now they want to know about any cases "in process".... this is all illegal, but who is there any longer to uphold the law? The U.S. Embassy should intercede for the US families in process, in case they or their legal reps don't notify the CNA AGAIN !!!!

Posted by: Melanie at October 14, 2009 09:20 AMI don't know what happened. It was working. And I just went to their home page and can't find where they have put it.
But here is what it said:

Can someone please post an email address to send this information to. The one I'm using cna@cna.gob.gt keeps coming back undeliverable. I'm sure our case has been registered, but I'm replying again just incase we've been forgotten!
Posted by: Leah Ann at October 14, 2009 03:40 PMI would like the email information to CNA as well. I also ran into the same difficulty when trying to send the requested info. I greatly appreciate this blog, everyone has been wonderful at giving information and much needed support.
I'm running into the same problem. Sent an email with our case info to cna@cna.gob.gt and it bounced back as undeliverable. If anyone knows another email address, please post it here.
Thanks!
I spoke to CNA today. They want you to use the "contactenos" tab on the website. Alternatively, you can send to:
