Calendar Update - Read Me!!! Back Up and Running!

Here is all the info as of now. Please don't e-mail me questions because I haven't anything more than what is here:

1.) Click on more and you will see all months and places where more kids were added. So if you didn't see your child in the first round, look at these. These are finals. Again, I apologize to anyone whose child is not in the calendar. Nothing more I can say on that.
2.) The Do Good Site is back up ad running! It is the only way to order. The URL is http://www.do-good-stuff.com.
3.) The SSL certificate is active but you may still get that pesky thing asking you to proceed. If you go through and tell it you want more info (as opposed to just "yes" to conitnue), you can view the certificate and see it is active. I believe the reason the message pops up now is because the certificate we ordered was in the Do Good Charitable Foundation's name when instead I should have gotten it done just as www.-do-good-stuff.com. TRUST ME, everything is in order and we are up to date on everything! Just tell it to proceed.
3.) Orders will go on until next Tuesday. That will be the drop dead date in order for us to have them printed and out to arrive by X-Mas.

OK, so my girls pictures still aren't on the calendar. Am I a disappointed? A little. Am I cancelling my order? NO WAY!

This calendar is so beautiful - my children are going to love looking at all of these wonderful, smiling faces next year.

Besides that, it is all for a good cause and one that continues to help the country that brought my wonderful children into our lives.

Thank you for all the hard work and your dedication to the people of Guatemala.

Feliz Dia de Accion de Gracias.

I am not much of a techie, so I just want to be sure that credit card numbers and personal info will be safe if we click on the continue link to order the calendar when it tells us the site isn't secure. I thought that's what security issues were about, not the site itself. Anyone know?

Will the site be up soon so we can order? You've done such a wonderful job, I have to get my calendars this year!

We believe the crash may have been connected to the certifiate thing (or hope so). Certificate has been purchased, now I just need to get it installed. knock on wood, back up and running tomorrow!!!!

My kids weren't in the calendar last year and we got two. We didn't submit their photos. Same thing this year and we ordered 5. I was focused on family parties and spaced the date. Our kids love looking at the pictures. We love seeing everyones little ones and its for good cause. Not going to knock anyone who feels differently since I have had my moments of aggravation in general at the world. Sometimes we need to vent and sometimes when we vent we could regret it later. We should all be close enough to let it smooth over.

Our family is home and although there have been some good conversations and ones I wasn't so thrilled about but valuable nonetheless I feel no emotional connection to the historical data in the forums. Whats important is our kids and our connection to each other. So, just saying, if the data cannot be restored then I still thank my lucky stars everyday we had such a forum to begin with and we are all still here for each other.

Thankful for you all. Have a good night.

Were there any changes to the other pages or just the addition of the back page? I just wanted to know if I needed to go through all the pages again to see if my girls picture had been added or if they missed out this year.

I really dissappointed, as others are that my girls didn't get in since they love looking through the current calendar for themselves. I will still buy some though because it is for a good cause. And I understand how lucky we are to even see a calendar at all this year.

Kevin and Guatadopt Team: Thank you for knocking yourselves out to put together such a beautiful calendar this year! It is absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to place my order. I am so glad that we are able to contribute to a worthy cause again this year, and hope that we will be able to do so again next year. My hat's off to the printers--they did a fabulous job! Thanks once again for your time and effort; it is very much appreciated.

Someone posted this on the Yahoo group. Sorry, not sure how to post this otherwise, hopefully Kevin will notice it and post. God, I hope this is true!!!!

It's official, the suspension on adoption in Guatemala has been lifted. I'm not sure how long it will be before things level off again, but the wait is finally over.

I am very disappointed that my DD isn't in this stunningly beautiful calendar -- it is my DD's first Christmas home --but putting it in perspective, she's home! With us! So much to be grateful for! I am writing with a suggestion to others who didn't make the cut. Order a calendar and stick your child's picture on it. If they are little enough, they won't know the difference and you get to enjoy your lovely child with all the other gorgeous children.

It is the 24th, and still can't get into order, is it my computer, or is there still issues with sight.

Love the calendar, I think that it looks great. Thank for all those that worked on it to make it happen.

With ordering capabilities being down, does it affect those calendars already ordered? I ordered on Sunday and received confirmation. Do I need to reorder? I am thinking that orders already made are fine, but I don't want to miss out!
Thanks for the hard work on the beautiful calendar! I can't wait to get my 10!

Can the list of children be made larger (so we can read the names and where they show up)?

Posted by: Windsor at November 25, 2009 06:08 AM

I so very much want to order calendars, but can't get logged in and the link will not allow me to check out. Is it me? What do we do about this?

Do Good site works great! Got my order in! Thanks!

Tried to place an order and when it goes to check out, goes to an error page..any help please???

Posted by: kristie at November 29, 2009 10:27 PM

I am not able to purchase the calendar. It mentions something about security. Do I need to log in? I don't think I have a log-in already and when I click on "log-in" it says the same message about security. Anyone else having trouble?

Posted by: gail at November 29, 2009 11:30 PM

To anyone having ordering issues:
1.)If you get the weird security thing - just tell the computer we are a trusted source. It's only saying "Do you know these guys are legitimate". Trust me, we are!
2.)Any other issues - everything is fine on our end. Donations are pouring in! It's somehting on your end not liking how we are set up. Try another computer if you can.
3.) On Tuesday, once pre-order is over, I will get info from anyone who could not get an order to work. If you are having an issue, e-mail me, please don't post it here.

Thanks,

Kevin
