Senator Lautenburg has sent out a Press Release regarding the Congressional Letters to Guatemalan President Colom and high-ranking officials of CNA, PGN and the courts. The release even has the letter and all signatories.
If you see your Member of Congress on there, don't hesitate to send a thank you. Even if you are home it is important that our members know this is still an important issue to you and your children. Thank you.

Has the letter been received by anyone in Guatemala yet? Just wondering if or how they will respond. Wondering if they will (Guat officials) make a public statement or a response directly to the US????????

Posted by: Sue at June 24, 2010 07:29 PMI hope the letter went to a RENAP official. RENAP is now reviewing our file like PGN did. Since when did RENAP become an extension of PGN? Anyhow...now our file is being stalled by RENAP. It has already been three years and our file has been reviewed by enough people...how many more people need to be looking at the file in such detail..I really wish the children could just come home. How much longer can the families endure all of this with no end in sight???
