Congratulations, great story.
I'm thinking it will take people a while to find their way back to Guatadopt.com after some of us tried every once in a while for months and found nothing new. So hang in there, and maybe get the word out elsewhere. I like the idea of sharing parenting and cultural info now, rather than heartbreaking details of our long waits as many of us did for so long!

Great story! I remember being in Home Depot with my husband at the very beginning of our process and watching a couple get THE CALL from their agency. I remember being in awe. My calls were not nearly as amazing- probably because we had some many "false" reports that it was hard to believe until they sent us copies of the paperwork. Thanks for sharing your story.

I remember being at a neighbour's 3 year old birthday party, and watching all the kids and being so fed up so that we went home early, just in time to catch a call from our agency with pictures of our 3 day old beauty following 5 minutes later. Then all our neighbours joined us for another birthday party. That was an easy route through PGN. We had a very different experience with our second, and the exit from PGN was the day we knew for sure we would get him home, ...and the neighbours came over....He is 6 now. All the trauma of the adoption was worth all the trauma of the infertility treatments etc. I could not be without these 2 now, and I am one very grateful mom.

Great story Kevin! And I love it that you guys are back. This time of year is both magical and nostalgic for us as well. We got the call for both our kids a couple of days after Thanksgiving and the flood of emotions that ran through me then still do even up to today as I am watching them grow into the little adults they are trying to become. Thanks for sharing your story Kevin

Thanksgiving is a special day in our adoption too! Thanksgiving 2008 for us was waiting for "Pink". After a long 14 month process. Pink came the Monday after Thanksgiving, December 1st. Two months after exiting PGN, thanks to the new Renap process. One week later on Monday, December 8th, was our embassy appointment.

We also "got out of PGN" on Thanksgiving Day 2007. We were living in Antigua at the time " fostering" our oldest son Gustavo. I'll never forget we were eating lunch at the Subway in Antigua when we got the call on our cell,we both started to ball like little babies!
